Total Time: 50 min
Ingredients:
For the Wings:
-
2 lbs chicken wings (split and tips removed)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tsp kosher salt
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
Optional: 1 tsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)
For the Truffle Wing Sauce:
-
1/3 cup The Truffleist Hot Sauce
-
3 tbsp unsalted butter
-
1 tbsp The Truffleist Truffle Honey
-
Optional: 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (for added tang)
For Garnish (optional):
-
Chopped chives or parsley
-
Crumbled blue cheese
-
Extra drizzle of Truffle Honey
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 425°F (or prepare air fryer at 400°F). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
-
Prep the wings: Pat wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder (if using).
-
Bake or air fry:
-
Oven: Arrange wings on rack and bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
-
Air fryer: Cook in batches for 22–25 minutes, flipping once.
-
Make the sauce: While wings cook, melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in The Truffleist Hot Sauce, Truffle Honey, and vinegar (if using). Whisk until smooth and warmed through.
-
Toss & Serve: When wings are crisp, toss in the truffle hot honey sauce until fully coated. Plate and drizzle with a touch more Truffle Honey for that sweet heat finish.
-
Garnish: Top with chives, parsley, or blue cheese if desired. Serve with celery, ranch, or bleu cheese dressing.
Chef’s Tip: Try this sauce on fried cauliflower, chicken sandwiches, or as a bold dip for fries or tenders.
